Kyle Abraham, PHR, SHRM-CP - Partner, Barran Liebman

Voters in Washington, Oregon and elsewhere have initiated dramatic changes in public policies on marijuana cultivation and use.  As a result of those changes, employers face conflicting pressures — from the federal government, state governments and regulators, as well as from the communities from which they draw their employees and customers.  How an employer should respond to the challenges of changing marijuana laws will depend on the workplace culture, safety concerns, customer base, and other factors.  Be sure to join Kyle T. Abraham as he leads an interactive discussion about what is legally required, what is legally permissible and what drug testing is able to show about actual marijuana impairment.
