Quiet Quitting - Reality or Fake Trend?

Since August, The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg have published more than a dozen articles and podcasts about the phenomenon. There was a Gallup study alleging that quiet quitters make up “more than half” of the U.S. workforce. Quiet quitters are apparently an “epidemic” that is supposedly changing the workplace and, purportedly, making bosses very mad.

Is this term just a convenient way for managers to express their thoughts about employees who they feel are slackers vs. asking questions like am I running the team effectively? Is the hybrid model working? Or seeing their role as helping my staff members find purpose in their work.

This new term has been all over Tik Tok and has been coined for when workers only do the job that they’re being paid to do, without taking on any extra duties or participating in extracurricular activities at work.

This program will be a lively discussion and will share with attendees:

    • What do leaders need to do to prevent this phenomenon from taking hold in your workplace

    • What you can do to improve manager and employee engagement in your organizations

    • Discover ways to bring purpose back to individuals work

    • Answer your questions
